Comments: I was on the USS Suisun from 1952 to 1955. I left as an EN1. I am interested in shipmates from that era, particularly from engine room gang.

Comments: Would like to hear from some of my friends on the Suisun. I use to run the RAB's, P. Boat, Motor launch, and the Gig. I remember one time when John Valenti was running the P Boat and hit this bouy at night, which the bouy didn't have a light on and he made it back to the ship and was hoisted aboard before sinking. Also, Sig used to run the motor launch and he would be wearing his water boots to bed and would sit at the barber shop chair and listen to clasical music and had a girl friend age 14 years old

Comments: I was aboard the Suisan Bay from January thru December 1953.
We left San Digeo in March and traveled the Far East servicing the flying boats which flew the Formosa Patrol between Foremosa and China. We hit the Pescadores Islands, Manila, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
There were a couple of Typhoons while were were out there.
We also spent some time in Pearl Harbor on the way over and on the return trip.
Let me hear from you, please.

Comments: Was aboard AVP-53 as a BM2 in 5-1945 to Feb-1949. Two trips to Tsingtoa China and many to the islands to look into the Governments that were set up. Laid sea-dromes for PBY's. Don't remember to many of the crew but there was a ABM named Self and a MM named Seamonds...e-mail me with other members names...was running mates with the HM1..Be interesting to hear from other crew members of that time frame.
