I do know that he was a gunner on either a 30cal or 50 cal machine gun, and was frostbitten on his feet. He was discharged from the service in November of 1953 after spending his entire tour in Korea. Comments: I am sorry for the mis-information that I provided regarding my own father. I wrote requesting any information on him prior to or after 1954. The corrected information that I have on him is that his name is A.J. Guillory he was known as Frenchy. Basic training was in Fort Bragg probably around 1952 I belive it was jump school. He supposedly was in Eta Jima in 1954 with the 82nd Airborne, he also apparently worked in medical records during that time. We requested his records from the military and they informed us that all records from 1947 - 1956 were distroyed in a fire. Now what confuses me is that I do have a picture and on the back he wrote my class of 1954 in Eta Jima Japan. Maybe most of this is correct. (I really hope) If anyone has any information I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thank you
