Comments: I believe my grandfather, Gilbert "Bud" Taylor, and his brother-in-law, Kenny Fisher, served in this unit. Both have since passed. Dates unknown, waiting for a copy of my grandfather's DD-214. I have a picture of him standing by a sign with "8189 Sig. Ser." and "Tornado Terminal" on it. Searching for anyone that may have more information or remembers serving with him. I appreciate any help!

Comments: My Dad Ken was in the Signal Service Battalion, Army Unit 8189 from 1952 - 1953. We're celebrating Dad's 80th birthday this year and would love to connect him with anyone who knew him.
Also, Dad and some of his army buddies helped a young Korean escape to the U.S. Dad has often wondered what happened to him.
