Comments: I recently met a veteran soldier and railroad engineer who proudly recalled his service with the 724th Railway Operations Battalion, arriving in Korea from Danville, Va. at the outbreak of the Korean War. He recalled the supply and hospital runs between Pusan and Seoul, and later the tense runs from Seoul to the front after the Chinese assault. He is retired from the service and the railroads, but keeps his hand in as a trainman aboard a private vintage train, helping children and parents aboard for the 60 minute ride into history. He would be pleased to hear from any of his old buddies. His name is Lawrence Hugh Clarke,a third generation railroad engineer.

Comments: The Korean War is the truly forgotten war. Everywhere I go, or every article I see or read about wars, very little mention is given about the Korean War. The Vietnam veterans tried to lay claim to the fact that theirs was the forgotten war but we Korean veterans know better. The media is just now beginning to give us our long overdue recognition for being the TRULY FORGOTTEN WAR!!!
