Comments: We are in the process of researching an individual of interest to our museum that served in the 724th Battalion from 1950-1952. Unsure of the company.
The gentleman's name is Lawrence "Ed" Endres. After his two year tour, Mr Endres worked for the Union Pacific Railroad hiring out of Cheyenne, WY.
It was in 1953, due to an incorrectly switch, that the locomotive he was firing hit a side track at 60 mph and rolled onto its left side.
The reason he is of interest to our museum is because the locomotive he was on, UP 4005, one of Union Pacific's Big Boys, is preserved and on display at the Forney Museum of Transportation in Denver, CO.
If anyone remembers Mr Endres, please let me know. Information and/or pictures are greatly appreciated.

Within a few weeks we will be adding a locomotive to our outdoor "rocket garden" at the museum. The locomotive is a EMD SW-8 Switcher number 2021, it has been used here at the Cape since 1965 to move around components of the Titan rocket. At one time locomotives numbers 2000, 2007, and 2021 were all here at the Cape, we understand that all three of these were also with the 724'th in Korea. We are looking for anyone who can tell us more about 2021---so that we may share its complete history with the visitors to the museum. I look forward to hearing from anyone who might be able to help, thank you.
