Comments: My grandfather, Transportation Corps officer 1LT Charles D. Bragg, was sent from Okinawa to 2nd T Med Port in Pusan 3 weeks before all hell broke loos as a "Port Auditing Officer". I wonder if FECOM senior brass knew something was brewing, as he was an experienced Stevedore Officer (Port of Seattle and JTF-7 Atom Bomb tests). He to serve as Stevedore Officer and various other staff positions in 8057th T Port Co., was promoted to CPT during the tour, and finished as S1 of 296th T Truck Bn thru Oct of '51.

Comments: Hi.
I am searching for information on my father. He was in Korea in 1952. I have a picture that shows him at the entrance to Inchon Trans Medium Port in Aug. 1952.
His records were lost in a fire.
He never talked much about what he did there.
I'd appreciate any information on his time there.
Thank you.

Grandpa had one son, I am his eldest child and the US Army will not give me next of kin status to get his records. I have one newspaper article from his next post as Post Engineer at Fort Eustis, VA that notes his service at Inchon which was the only documentation I can find besides a calling card from he was ranked at Lt. Colonel (he later made full bird). My grandparents and father have passed- Grandpa died in 1969 from encephalitis contracted in Korea.

Comments: I work for the va and I am trying to help a veteran verify his stressor statement. I asked the NPRC and they responded that The Military History Institute, Center for Military History and the National Archives and Records Administration do not maintain records submitted by the 21st Medium Port..I was stumped.
Where should I go? The veteran (Army) claims that on or about February or March 1953, while serving as Detachment Commander to a Port Provisional Detachment at the 21st Medium Port at Inchon, Korea, enemy aircraft attacked a petroleum, oil and lubricant tank farm; the attack started a fire and killed several Koreans. Veteran further stated that he assisted in trying to put out this blaze which lasted approximately 36 hours.
Would you have any suggestions where or which office I should go to to retrieve verification of this event?
