passed away in 1997. I have recently begun to scan and
post his old photos online. Hopefully some
friends/relatives of the other people in the pics will
find these photos. I've labeled the photos with as
much information as I have. Any additional info would

Comments: Semper Fi'....
I am the only son/child of Sgt. Westberry [born: DEC-17-1949] and I was 17-months old when he was KIA. His parents Master Sergeant Enes L. Westberry {USMC} and "Nana" Marhta Westberry told me about him over the years of my youth, Nana suffered greatly over the loss of her only son [she became legally-blind due to her many weeks of sobbing after his death]... I was told the things that should be said about a "Hero", but very little about "the Man and his Character"... I'd like to know much more of course [got any stories for me?].
My Mother re-married when I was about 4-years old and she registered me into Kindergarten [public school] using the name of her new husband [Max L. Millsap: a US-Army signal corp veteren of the Korean War], he was a decent guy, but as nature dictates "I was not of his blood" and after he did "His Duty" during my childhood,
he more or less quit his role as a "Step-Father" [he and my mother had a daughter, who is still a cherished
"SISTER" and a very good and honest person].
I'd very much like to contact any of the men who "Knew my Father", who could tell me about the things that he talked about, things he liked or disliked [Politics-Religion-what he wanted to do after the war-etc]. I don't even know if he had a favorite baseball team, did he enjoy fishing-hunting-reading books?... It would be fair to say that I know "Of Him, but very little about what made him tick"... was he a good warrior? a good leader?... did he ever have momments of fear and doubt? Was he smart?... you get the idea I hope... anyone who might fill in some of the gaps for me and my daughters, would be nice to hear from.
Thanks and know that every December, my grown daughters are told to "Remember the Chosin Few" and they will pass the memory on to their children......
"... and if the army or the navy ever look on heavens scene... they will find the streets are guarded by UNITED STATES MARINES"... hope my Father has comfortable boots, eh?
