Comments: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/22793 From the National Archives. Lt. Robert I. Marshall a Forward Air Controller (FAC) mapping out his days work controlling US aircraft from his (Lt Marshall's) forward position on the ground at 8:25 on the film. A true "God send" to the allied infantry engaged w/ the North Koreans. Thanks to the combat camera men whose unit I could not work out of "eyemo".

Keywords: Only a pilot on the ground truly knows what a pilot in the air can reasonably do with his air craft.

Comments: I don't know the dates, but I know my father flew the AT6 as a forward air controller. He spent only about 30 days in Korea, and flew about 60 missions (a record for the time I understand). His name is Billy D. Brown. He was a 1st lt while in Korea. He retired as a major from Shepard AFB in 1967. He has been gone now for 16 years, I missed getting to know his service history. If you served with or knew of him, please send me a note. Thank you.

Comments: I arrived in Korea at K-6 Dec. 31, 1951 and served with the 6150 at both K-6 and later at K-47. My first assignment was with the 57TH Field Artillery 7TH DIV. I was with them until about May and after 10+ days in Japan, returned to be assigned to the 45TH Div, I can't remember the regiment but it was an Oklahoma National Guard unit and was virtually wiped out during one battle and replaced by Michigan reservists. After another R and R I was assigned to the 10TH Corp Artillery Hdqs.
