Comments: I found a mug with Korea 6148 TCS on one side with mosquito emblem and the other side has Chun Chon A1/C Saint Peter with the number 5 and shooting star behind it. The handle of the mug is a naked woman’s body. It’s so interesting and I’m wondering if anyone can tell me what the A1/C side means. I would be happy to send to anyone who this mug might have special meaning to. Thank you and God bless.

Comments: My grandfather was captain Norris "Andy" Anderson, I don't know when he went to Korea but he left in Oct 53. He received several medals for his time there and he flew in WWI so I would think he would be there very early. I would love to get any information about him, stories, where he served what he flew, etc.

Comments: My father John Melhuish served in Korea in 1952-1953 at Camp Chun Chon (code name K-47). He was in control of the radio shop while there. My father went to town and had blue silk jackets made for the Mosquito Squad.with their name on each jacket. My fathers name was the only jacket that was correct because all the other men did not want their name on their jackets-they wanted (leave blank) so every body jacket had (leave blank on the sleeve of the jacket. The jacket, which i have, is well made. Jacket is reversible. On one side of the jacket is a embroidered yellow tiger and on the on side of the jacket is a mosquito emblem, K-47 on the pocket, also a Korea emblem with stars and a large number 5. With the year 52-53-Radio. On the back is 6148th Tac.Con.Sq. with mountains and a T-6 Aircraft and above that are three F-85 jets. My father is now 87 years old and often talks about his time and his friends in Korea.

Comments: My brother-in-law, Alvin Earl Crane (Sonny) AO-1903066 was assigned to the 6148th Tactical Recon Squadron. He was the pilot of a LT 6G and was accompanied by Army Sgt. Gordon Zorn. Sgt. Zorns body was recovered soon after the plane went down. Sonny was reported Missing in Action September 13, 1951. In 1990 the North Koreans conducted their own unilateral recovery on their side of the Demilitarized Zone near Tosan. The remains were returned to the U. S. On August 22, 2005 JPAC completed its analysis and determined the remains were those of 1st Lt. Crane.
In May of 2006 my husband Art will fly to Hawaii to bring Sonny home. The service is to be held on May 13 at 1PM at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, California. The Air Force will conduct a military service including honors and flyover. There is a possibility of a second flyover by a T-6 Unit in the Sonoma County area.
If you knew Sonny or if you would like to attend the service, please contact me for further information. Thank You to All of Our Veterans and ..Mary Crane
