Hoping this might still be an active thread. My father, Vincent Burkey, was stationed at Barksdale AFB in the late 1960’s. He did ‘top secret’ work making flight charts and other maps. He hasn’t ever talked much about it because everything was ‘classified’, but recently started to talk a little more about his service and revealed that he was in the ‘2nd Rec Tech’. Unfortunately, his mind isn’t what it used to be. In doing a search for information, I found this page (although it is for the Korean era, and his service would have been during the Vietnam era). Hoping that someone may have known him, or can at least provide any information (including patches, insignias, etc) about the unit. Thank you in advance for any help offered!!

Comments: Stationed at Barksdale at 2nd RTS from June 1966 to Oct 1968. Lived in the barracks and made some life long friends. After the USAF I finished school and wound up at SAC Headquarters in Omaha, working with several that were with me at Barksdale. I was a PI in the TAU.

Comments: I thought someone involved with photo recon in the '50s might have or know of a manual I have been looking for for 20 years. Just knowing the TM or FM # would be GREAT. It was titled something like "Aerial Photograph Interpreter's Handbook" dated around 1957, 8 x 10, and had a lot of pictures of WW2 German radar antennas and some rockets.
