Comments: Dear Lou: I have a new address as shown above. I heard Dave Felice, Charlie
Crank and Doc Prowell passed away. Not many of us left. Our KWVA Chapter
dedicated a beautiful new Memorial the first of July 2013. We have a great
chapter affiliated with the KWVA National Association. Are you going to the
Reunion this year? If so, give everyone my Best Regards. Wish I could be
there, but am now in a powered wheelchair and don't get out much. Live in a
Señior Citizen facility in a little town south of Greenville, SC. where the 934th
used to be stationed before Korea. Donaldson AFB. If we still are getting a
magazine of the reunion, sure would love to have one. If they cost, buy it for
me and I will send you or whoever gets it a check by return mail.
God Bless you all, I miss everyone so very much. Your Old Brother in Arms,
Lee Ayers, A/1C

Comments: I am trying to help the family of James Stanley Brock (now deceased) obtain a Bronze Star decoration which apparently was awarded to Sgt. Brock.
James Stanley Brock served in the 1st Radio Sqdn. Det 13 in Korea during 1951-52. He died 6/8/05 in Charlotte NC. His CO in Korea was Capt. R.E. (Hop) Harriger. On behalf of Mr. Brock's daughter, Beth Kendall, I am attempting to determine the status of a Bronze Star award mentioned in a letter of 11 May 52 from Capt.Harriger to Sgt. Brock. I have a copy of the letter.
The award was not presented to Sgt. Brock and is not listed on his DD-214. The letter says that Capt. Harriger, Boone, Wilhelm and Nixon received their Bronze Star and that the paperwork for Sgt. Brock's decoration had been submitted to Group with FEAF next with final approval. I would like to contact any of the veterans mentioned above for information purposes or help. I did not serve in Mr. Brock's outfit but we both belong to the NC Chapter of the KWVABoone,.
Thank You for your help.
