Comments: Looking for anyone who might remember my father, Alan Woodman, from HMHS Maine.. He’d have been a LSBA at the time.

Comments: John, If you are still around, both my late mother and father were on the Maine during the Korean conflict.
John King was a LSBA and ran the dispensary as part of his duties, and was awarded the BEM for his time on board. Mary Dawkins was one of the six VAD nurses on board. Here they are pictured stood next to each other:

Comments: Hi There,
Are there any of the lads and ladies who served on this great Hospital Ship?
I remember Sir James Watt, but sadly he's long gone. And there was also
Bertie Walford, who used to walk around with a wet towel on his head.
My best pal was Henry Page who went on to reach the rank of Commander,
I only managed to reach Chief Medical Technician, but I had a BEM for my
troubles. I spent the next 20 years of my life in the RN College, Greenwich,
where I was a civilian member of the Wardroom. Those were the days!
Names I recall from the "Maine" are Vic Webster, Terry Old, Dolly Summers,
but at 88 my memory is a bit knackered.
