Comments: I was aboard VC4 for several months in 1969 then my enlistment was over. I remember no one I was their with. I was an AE3. I reported aboard from VC10 at Gitmo and prior to that I was at VT 31. Anyone out there that can drop some names on me from 1969? Thank You AE 3 Rich Vandepels.

Comments: I went on cruises as a part of the VC-4 detachment aboard the USS Valley Forge in 1954 and 1955. We were on the Operation Blackjack cruise a midshipman cruise to Halifax Nova Scotia, on a cruise that took us to Barcelona Spain, Belfast Ireland, and back home through a storm near the Azores. I would like to hear from anyone that was in the same detachment aboard the Valley and does anyone have any information about Emmet Shaw, the Commander of our detachment?
