Comments: Co. 666 was one of the best. We got to carry the Meatball Flag several weeks. Remember the week of mess cooking, I got lucky,I got the spud locker. What a job. Someone has to do it!
Some time later, I went aboard the U.S.S. St. Paul CA 73 to visit a couple sailors that I grew up with, and there was Chief Chromer on duty as the Assistant OD. What a surprise! I got to swap some scuttlebutt with him.
I will always wonder what happened to some of the recruits, Workman, Mo. Harmon, Mo. Newland,(spelling???), San Diego, Schneider, St. Louis, Cogan, from Gary, Ind., and so many more. Wish we could have a reunion.

It's ok to wish,
Jordan A. L.
