Comments: I was at Miho 1952-1953 I was on the flight line. We checked out the B-26 after maint. in the hangar. I would taxi the B-26 out to the run up area, and run it through the tests, then get the pilot and take it for test flight, what a blast. Major Darcy was my favorite pilot. The Golden Bear was my favorite water hole in the big city of Miho. Would like to hear from you.

All Medical Units, facilities and personnel came under the Air Surgeons Office for assignments, training and supervision. I would like to hear from anyone who served as a USAF Medic in 5th Air Force - Korea during this time.
Our headquarters office was housed in an old Taegu Teachers College. Still remember the smells - especially from the 8th Army crematory up the street aways.

The checkered tail (25th) stands out in my memory very well. I was a crash rescue fire fighter. There was also a constant flow of C-119 in and out of the base moving everything that was needed to run the war.If anyone is familiar with the Tsuiki Airport layout you might recall seeing a group of tents out by the control tower. That's where we were billoted.
