Comments: Looking for my grandfather who was a sergeant in 1951. He met my grandmother while based in England. Possibly while at manston air field and was known by the name 'hank'. I have photos of him. One in uniform on a beach with my grandmother whilst pregnant with my mother, and the other photo taken with a pal who is dressed in maybe a ranger's/Hunter's outfit. Desert like sand and some vegetation in the background. My grandfather looks as though he could have been a lecturer at the time the photo was taken.

Comments: My father has been deceased for 35 years, but I think the Lyle E. Phillips in your squadron was my father. I know he served in the Korean war - and I remember seeing a book of the war that he brought home (my sister now has it). He passed away at the young age of 56 - he would have been 91 had he lived.

Comments: This is an intesting website and I as surprised to call it up. This was my first outfit out of tech school and is very dear to my heart. I was Chief Clerk n the Orderly Room and I knew just about eveyone in the squadron. Mrs Grubbs book had many errors in it and had to be redone. The revised editon had several errors. A goodexmple: Pvt Van Mullen at the bottom of the list was LCol and the Grup Commander.
This is a good project you have started and if I can help in any way, just let me know. I completed 20 years and retired in June 1967 with the rank Senior Master Sergeant. I was a native of Tenn, but got married in Austin and settled here.
