Comments: I joined the 452nd Light Bomb Wing 3 June 1950. I was 15 years old and going to Torrance high school. I joined to play football for the Air Force Reserves. I never did get to play football. I was in training as a Medic when the Korean War started. I had to give the shots to the guys that were being called up for Korea and some times help them outside to lay on the grass for a few min. I later joined the Navy on my 17 birthday, they tried to court marshal me for fraudulent enlistment, the Captain through out the charges and I received my discharge from The Air Force 1 1/2 years after I was in the Navy.

Comments: My father, Filigonio Archuleta, served in the 811th Air Police Squadron in the Korean War. He died when I was 6 years old, and I am trying to find information regarding his time in the military. His seperation papers show that he was discharged from the Air Force at Turner Air Force Base in Albany, GA in March or 1954. I can't find very much regarding the 811th police squadron on the internet search engines. If anyone knew him please reply to my email. Thank you.

Comments: My father Allen Lawrence Pope was based in Puson during that timeframe. He was a pilot AB-26, and is retired now and living in Perrine, Florida. I have a few pictures from his unit-one of those is a picture of the K-9/Black Knights squadron sign which is over one of the doors.
