Comments: Mi Padre, Enrique Alfonso Acosta Oliver, protagonista de el Orgullo mas grande que he podido sentir en mi vida. Nunca se lo dije pero siempre fué así, luego de su partida me duele no haberselo expresado cuando estuvo a mi lado. ESTO ES PARA TODOS LOS QUE TENGAN FAMILIARES O SERES QUERIDOS VETERANOS DE TAN SIGNIFICATIVO HECHO HISTORICO: Si todavía comparten físicamente con ese Heroe al que todos admiramos, diganle cuan orgullosos se sienten de él y disfruten compartiendo las experiencias y los recuerdos gratos de aquel gran acto de Heroismo. Que no les pase lo que a mi, diganle ahora lo que sienten antes de que sea tarde. Mi padre murio el 31 de Mayo de 1999 en el Hospital Militar de Bogotá y el único reconocimiento que se le hizo por parte de la Armada fué cuando dejó de existir físicamente. Aunque fué muy emotivo, no debe hacer falta que mueran para saber que estan allí, a pesar de que el mejor reconocimiento para ellos es el amor de una familia orgullosa que toda su vida lo ha admirado, ya es hora de alguien EXIJA A LOS GOBIERNOS DE USA Y COLOMBIA QUE SE LES TOMEN EN CUENTA...

Me gustaria saber tambien como hacer para Contactar la asociacion de veteranos de la Guerra de Corea ASCOVE para obtener mas detalles.
Tengo entendido que a partir del 2002 mas de 733 veteranos que se encontraban en estado de pobreza absoluta empezarona recibir un subsidio de 2 salarios minimos. Que debe hacerse para que estas valiosas personas reciban este beneficio??
La verdad no lo se pero el telefono de ASCOVE segun tengo entendido es 2334524, y la oficina esta ubicada en k4, N0 4-44 Bogota colombia.

mi abuelo es veterano de la guerra de Korea,y se que esta muy orgulloso de ello.En mi niñez no tuve mucho contacto con el,pues vive en Tulua, valle y yo en Armenia, entonces lo que sabia de su participacion en la guerra era muy poca, ahora estudio comunicacion social y periodismo y estoy haciendo una cronica acerca de los veteranos de la guerra de korea, y me he enterado que el reconocimiento que les han dado es muy poco, ademas el cuenta que de USA les enviaron presentes como medallas en oro, carros etc, pero esto nunca llego a sus manos.
