Comments: I was blown off the top of a hill in that vacinity
and landed 75 yards behind and on my behind. This
was around the first part of August 1951. The
damage to my back did not fully surface until many
years later when I had to have a couple of discs
removed from my lower spine.
The DAV contends that I should be elegible for the
"Purple Heart" if I can find any witnesses to that
enemy artillery barrage. Please respond if you
have any information--thanks.
