Comments: Served as secretary to Commanding General from about Oct 1952 (BG Colburn) until about September 1953 (CG A.P.Omara).
Executive officers were Alvah Fitch and Col. Ryan (??).
Basic training Fort Ord, Ca, clerk typist school (Fort Ord), Stenography school (AG School Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana)
By ship toi Japan, thence by ship to Pusan. By train to 3rd Division thence to IX Corps Artillery HQ.
The HQ was staffed by West Point, National Guard officers and Army draftees and regulars.
I would like to hear from anyone who served during this period.

Comments: He never went through boot camp when he was at Camp Dodge, IA or Fort Des Moines. He worked in the station hospitals. He was in the 190th and 814th Hospital Center in Paris, France in World War II. He was a Sgt. Major there. I would be interested in hearing anything people might remember about him.
