Comments: The 570th Ordnance Company (Medium Automotive Maintenance) was activated on 15 March 1950 at Nishinomiya, Honshu, Japan under TOE 9-127 with 5 officers and 121 enlisted men and assigned to the 192nd Ordnance Battalion.
The 570th MAM Company, together with the 192 Ordnance Battalion arrived at Pusan, Korea on 8 July 1950 and the commander of of the 192nd Ordnance Battalion assumed the additional function of of Ordnance Officer of Pusan Base Command. Pusan Base Command subsequently became Pusan Logistical Command and was commanded by General Crump Garvis. The 570th Ordnance MAM Company was assigned to the Pusan Logistical Command on 12 July 1950 and operated maintenance facilities.
On 14 September 1950 an emergency mobile repair service began a patrol of the main roads within the area of the Command. The 570th Ordnance MAM Company provided the patrol which operated continuously during the daylight hours and was on call at night.
Pusan Logistical Command was deactivated on 19 September 1950 and was replaced by the 2nd Logistical Command, activated the same day.
On 28 March 1951 the 570th Ordnance MAM Company moved forward and its operations taken over by the 89th Field Maintenance Company. On 31 March the 570th Ordnance MAM Company was released from attachment to the 2nd Logistical Command and assigned to the Ordnance Field Group, 8046th Army Unit. On 15 September 1951 the 570th Ordnance MAM Comapny was assigned to the 60th Ordnance and attached to the 4th Ordnance Battalion (M&S). On 25 November 1951 the unit reverted to the control of the 60th Ordnance Group.
On25 January 1953 the 570th Ordnance MAM Company was redesignated the 570th Ordnance Company (Direct Automotive Support) (DAS).
By Eighth United States Army General Order 123, dated 15 March 1954 and Department of the Army General Order 32, dated 3 May 1954, the 570th Ordnance Comopany (DAS) was awarded the Meritorious Unit Citation.

Effective 11 June 1956 the 570th Ordnance Company (DAS) was attached to the Eighth United States Army Support Command (Provisional) 5200th Army Unit without changes in the existing assignments or attachments and assigned to same effective 18 July 1956.
On 1 January (year not given) the 570th Ordnance Company (DAS) was releived from assignment to the 4th Ordnance Battalion (M&S) and was assigned to the U.S. Army Yongsan District Command to the date. (?)
Presently (?) (written in LAST yearbook the 570th Ordnance Co (DAS) was to ever have, dated 1965) the 570th Ordnance Company (DAS) performing the mission of Direct Automotive Support for approximately 85 units located in responsible supporting area, with the strength of 3 officers, 86 enlisted men, 31 Republic of Korea Army Personnel (KATUSA) and 106 Korean National Employees.

On 1 January 1966 the 570th Ordnance Co (DAS) was redesignated as Company B 335th Maintenance Bn. The unit had moved in August 1965 from Niblo Barracks to barracks on South Yongsan Post and a work area which became to be known as Camp Kim. NARA has reportedly no information on Company B, but it has on HHC, A and C. It may have gone to Germany????
