Comments: Despite spending 4 years with the company, my memory of the assignment is almost gone. Worked for Maj Stiehl in the front office as well as Maj Wilson and the infamous 1SG Willis J. Bloom. What I associate the company with was Operation New Life both from arrivals via aircraft at NAS to arrivals via ships at the docks in NavSta...and of course, Orote Point Camp site. Those were great times.

Comments: My father, Troy Bowman, Jr was stationed in Korea from Oct 1951 to Nov 1952 ( approx. 15 mos.) His service records indicate he was with both the 515th and 518th Ord MAM. I have little to no information about his service. I have one photograph with him standing in front of a sign that reads Headquarters-515 Ord MAMCO. There is a large symbol in the middle that resembles a ball with a flame of sorts going from the top. It was in the winter according to his dress. There was snow on the ground. My dad's MOS was supply specialist. He would have likely been an E-4 or E-5 at that time.
If anyone has information on this company during the Korean War, please reply.

Comments: I was a 515th Ord Co member from September 1976 to June 1978, as a Maintenance Team Leader, and was one of the last Warrant Officers assigned to that company while it was on Guam. We packed up the unit and moved it to Redstone Arsenal, AL. Lots of good memories of living on Naval Air Station.
