Comments: Looking for anyone who might have served in Flight C of the 5th Mtr. Transp. Sq. at K-46. I was detachment clerk from Nov 52 to Jan 53. Can't remember the F-51 wing, but it was the last F-51 combat wing in the AF. We helped close down the base, and, I think, they moved to Osan to convert to jets. We convoyed back to Yong Dong Po for further assignment. I was reassigned about 1 March to K-8, Kunsan.

Also, searching for anyone who served in the 5th Mule Train, regardless of assignment, for a possible reunion.

Comments: I was with the 5th mule train from July 52 till July 53. I ran the airman's club (the only club on the compound).

We had a great bunch of guys and had a lot of good times. I have located Bobby Vincent in Alaska, Bobby Murphy in Greensboro No. Carolina, and Chuck Abuscato in Highland, NY (now deceased).

If anybody knows the whereabouts of any of the above, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Also, if anyone knows what happened to our CO Major Nickelson who before leaving the 5th mule train became Lt. Col. Nickelson.

And if you guys are looking for anyone, please let me know and I will help if I can.
Thanks,
Fred

Comments: I am looking for Fred Fox, who served in Korea from November 1952 till November 1953. Fred and I were of no relation, biut we had a lot of fun with others who were on the Edwin Patrick Troop Ship going over from San Francisco to Yokohama Bay, Japan in November 1952. On the way over, Fred and I were talking about the things we had in mind, and someone came up to us and ask if we were related, being we had the same last name. We both told them we were cousins, and dropped it from there. When we processed at Fusu, Japan for Korea, Fred went to a different unit than I did. Then when I rotated back to the states after the war was over in November 1953, I had to process back through Fusu, Japan. I met a few guys I had gone over with, found a few of them did not make it back, .then one of the guys came running up to me and said he saw my cousin Fred, Of course cousin Fred and I got back together and we had a ball all the way home acting as cousins, and we never did tell those guys we were not related. Fred was from the East Coast, I think was up in New York somewhere. Fred, if you or any of the other guys happen to read this, give me a call, it would be good to hear from you. If any of you "5th. Mule Train" guys happen to be out there, let it be known.
