Comments: My cousin David Buchanan Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, was killed on Hill 282. He was awarded a medal,I think the Silver Star, posthumously. He was 21 years old. A wonderful young man. He has been sorely missed by his family ever since.

Comments: My father John Meighan was badly wounded on Hill 282 and
was taken to the field hospital.
History of books and other information related to his
involvement has been kept by us as a family resource, the
bravery of veterans who saved his life on that day and
of those who perished should not be forgotten, they
should be remembered as brave men.
