Comments: Hi im trying to find out if there was a Alejandro aka Andy Garcia or zepeda garcia on the uss lipan atf 85 from the years 1964-1968. He is my grandfather but my dad has never met his father so i am trying to find alejandro zepeda garcia before its to late and my dad dies and never even meets his father. please any information would help thank you and god bless.

Comments: I am the CVSO (Jane Babcock) trying to help Victor Dewane
establish if/when the USS Lipan was in DaNang Harbor and various
salvage missions the put her close to shore. He specifically
remebers trying to get a troop carrier off the shore but not
being successful so the decision to just blow her up was made.
