Comments: Looking for Anyone from the time of the Korean War to help us fill in gaps in the USS Arikara Documentary Project. We are doing this Project for the Legacy to leave to the Arikara People for all time. You will find them in NW North Dakota. Their Home is White Shields, ND. We are also doing this for a hour long PBS type show to show only the Arikara but also what all the Tugs did through what the Arikara did. Comments: We are the last crew of the Arikara and have been having reunions with the Arikara People the 2nd weekend of each July in White Shield, ND. We are also involved in a scholarship Fund for the HS in the Ships Name. We are also doing a documentary of the life of the ship and would love any foo from anyone. Comments: My father was assigned to the USS Arikara (ATF-98) as a Diesel Engine Inspector, EN2 J.B. Sigmon or Jim Sigmon was on the Arikara from Jan. 18th, 1949 to Dec. 8th,1952. He was present on the Arikara when they participated in the Nuclear testing at Kwajalein Atoll. We have a lot of pictures of life on the ship during that time and of his shipmates.
