Comments: I was a RM3 aboard the Tucker from Nov 1947 until about
April 1949. We deployed to Hawaii, Eniwetok (A-bomb
test), Philippines, Amoy, Formosa, Okinawa, Hong Kong,
Tsingtao and Japan (to offload a sick crewman). I left
the
ship at Subic Bay in 1949 and flew on MATS to Guam,
where
I stayed (operating teletype, even tho I was a RM) on
ComMar hill. I left guam in April 1950 on the USS
General Breckenridge for SFO and Was discharged on
Treasure Island on Apr. 3, 1950. Anyone interested can
reach me via email. Thanks, shipmates. I'd love to
hear from anyone.
Jim
