Comments: Trying to learn more about our father's time in the service, he passed away in 1997. He never spoke of his time - we know he was a medic and have photos but no details. If anyone has any we'd like the information. He did his basic training at Fort Ord in Calif, transferred to San Antonio for additional training, traveled to Korea on the USS General R. L. Howze troop ship.
Thanks!

Comments: my husband served during the Korean conflict. His papers state that he was AMEDS CO D 4th MTB 1REGT 2131 ASU MRTC. He passed away 2 months ago and I have found many photos and slides that he took during that time (early MASH training etc) Are they of any interest for historical purposes.

Comments: I am not even sure I am in right site. I tried going through the National Personnel Records Center but they state my fathers records were destroyed in a 1973 fire and could only provide a copy of the separation document. My dad has long since passed away and I am really inrterested in his time in Korea. Please Help.....
Thx,
Joe
