Comments: I am doing research on my mother's side of the family. Her brother William Christopher Holmes died on January 14, 1951. This was 4 days before I was born. My mother was grief stricken over her brothers death. She thought of him often in the years before her death. I have a newspaper clipping telling the story of his bravery, medals and death. I would like to learn more and see if his remains have been returned to the USA. He has 3 brothers still living and I think it would be nice if they too could have some closure. Thank you for any help. He, Sgt. William C. Holmes, was in the Tank Co. 32nd Infantry and died in the area of Tanyang, Korea, 1/14/1951.

My grandmother gave me a photograph of him and two other guys at a club in Baumholder Germany. She also gave my a patch of his, that is a calvery patch. I can see his armpatch in the photo, and I can barely make it out, but I think it is a 4th armored division patch. His name is Harold R. Churchill. He was a cpl. but was busted down to pvt. for punching a Lt. I was just wondering if anyone out there may have known him at one time and could share some news or stories about their time in the army with him. I would greatly apreciate it. thankyou

He speaks of a Camp Perski or with a "y" and that when he came back from Korea and then went back out to Germany and all he came back to California first and then he offically discharged (horonably) at Indian Gap, Penn.
