I'd like to know where the detachment was located on Py-do (Baengnyeong-do). I have a box of his slides from his time there.

In one photo he identifies a Lt. Deaton.

Comments: My late brother John W. Nutter served with the 15th RSM in Korea in 1951-1953. He enlisted from Jefferson City, MO and trained at The Gateway to the Air Force, Lackland AFB, Texas. Although I was only eight years old when my brother returned from Korea, I remember very distinctly that he often referred to his CO as LTC Hardy.

John came from a very sheltered background. His experience in Korea seems to have had profoundly negative physical and emotional effects upon the remainder of his life. He died in his mid 50's.

To all of you who served with the 15th RSM, and to all of the family members of those who served, please accept my sincere and respectful thanks.

Comments: Looking for anyone who might remember an Air Force family stationed in Ashiya, Japan in the late 1950's who adopted a Japanese/American girl named Judy Maruyama. The Airman who adopted Judy was assigned to the 15th Radio Squadron, HQ Detachment. Judy is the neice of my wife, whose sister Toshiko gave up for adoption to her friends at AAFB after Judy's American father (who was a pilot)was killed in a training accident. They left Japan around 1958/59 and were reassigned to an airbase in Illinois. For several years after that, the families corresponded back and forth and Judy's new family sent many pictures of Judy back to her natural mother, until her untimely death at the age of 33 due to encephalitus. My wife would very much like to find Judy as she too, is now in the USA. If anyone remembers, or has any information, our email is: rwwachtl@adelphia.net.
