Comments: Looking for information about my brother, Carl J. Jones who served on the USS Consolation and was reported missing in April 1951 while the ship was anchored in Inchon Harbor. My brother who was 18 years old had recently re-enlisted after serving for three years. It seems very strange to me that he could just disapear from the ship when they were nowhere near shore and it was to cold to swim should he want to. I believe someone killed him and pushed him overboard. The Navy never did find out or at least at that time they did not inform his family as to what the results of the investigation was. After a year he was declared Killed in Action. If anyone knows anything about Carl would you please e-mail me. Florence Furman (Carl's 3 other brothers and I are also veterans)
