Comments: All I have of my father's memory is a big box full of photos he took before I was born. The information I have been able to piece together is that he joined the Navy at 17, 1952, because his father told him if he didn't want to finish high school he had to learn a trade in the service. I found his resume in his things when I was a kid, before my mother threw everything away. I learned that he studied electronics and eventually was employed by Motorola installing and repairing radiology equipment at hospitals. Most of the photos I have are sailors and scenes in alaska.
My dad died suddenly when I was 4 from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. I remember nothing about my dad except for some fleeting visual memories as a toddler. I have always missed him terribly and no one will talk to me about him. He's been dead for 31 years so I am really the only one who is interested in him anymore.
Two men were identified on some of his pics: "Rip" and Fred Shields.
I am only hoping that someone will remember Robert "Bob" Haines and pass on anything they might want to tell me.
Thank You-
Barbara Haines
