Comments: Hello, I am looking for any information on the 82th pipeline company. My father was a truck driver during the Korean War. My father and I did not talk much about that time in his life. Since he passed in 2001 and I tried to get information through national archives and a Research company. But that was limited. I would appreciate anything company books , information about the company or pictures. Thank you in advance and taking time to read this.

Comments: Hello,
I served with the 82nd Engineer Pipeline Company from 1952-1953, for 15 months. I'm 85 years young and looking for anyone I served with. Where are my buddies? John Hancock of Plymouth, MI, Robert Bogus of Wyandotte, MI. I'm still looking for you!
If anyone from my company reads this, I would really appreciate a response. If any family members of anyone from my unit have any information on any of these folks, I'd like to hear from you.
Thanks!
Lou Stifano.

Korea..They say you never die until that last person
who knew you alive on the earth remains alive. Not
many left who knew me in Korea, but we had a good
time boys, pumping that juice all over Korea, keeping
out buddies warm in the winter and transported around
Korea in anything that had wheels or would fly.

Comments: I am attempting to reconstruct my father's service
record while serving in Korea during the war. According
to Department of the Army, all of my father's service
records were destroyed in the St. Louis fire. My father
has always been very reticent regarding his Army
service. All I have to work from is a woefully
incomplete copy of his DD214. According to it, my
father, SGT(T)Martin R Goldshine most significant duty
assignment was with the 82nd Engr Petr Distr Co. He
apparently spent 11 months and 18 days in foreign
service. Only 2 awards are listed; the Good Conduct
Medal (followed by "GO 4 36th Engr C Gp 1951) and the
Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Service Stars. As I
understand it from my research, the 5 service stars
indicate that he participated in 5 campaigns. Even
though I am also an Army veteran, there is much more on
his DD214 that is a mystery to me. Any information
about his service in Korea or where I might go to get
further information would be greatly appreciated. He is
in his 80's now and I am trying to put together
something to commemorate his wartime service.

Comments: I operated the Seoul Tank Farm 53-54-55 and also worked out of Susack, Korea company headquarters.
Anyone with similar experiences?
Also, I have applied for VA disability because of exposures to POL products and have been consistantly denied. We should have pumped agent orange instead.

Comments: I'm looking for info. from former pipeline workers. I would like to know if they remembered what chemicals they used and if they are now having any health problems? The chemicals they used were three times as toxic as Agent Orange yet if they file a claim with the VA they will be denied (unless they served in Viet Nam also). I think this is wrong. I'm doing research for my father as he has Parkinson's Disease. He served on Marbo Base Guam with the 333 Eng. Pipeline in the late 40's, early 1950's. Thank-you for your time!

He built floating bridges to enable tanks to cross the rivers. I'm looking for anyone who may have known him or served with him. He's home in Arkansas and is doing well. Thanks.
