Comments: We went on a long long hike the day after South Korea was invaded, supposed to get us in shape, and went on the fireing line to qualify before some of us were sent up to Japan. I remember First Sgt. Osbourne and what a great guy he was. I didn't get to go even though I volunteered twice, because my brother was on the front lines and I was last of my line.I was a seaman on the only J boat we had, before I transferd to the field as a rod-man .

Comments: I was not in korea but the boats that made the Inchon landing were from 85th boat co. Several of the boat crews were from the unit in the Phillipines. I was in 85th from 1949 until 1951.
