Comments: I served in the 1437th Float Brdg Co Summer of 1954 to Dec 55. Wonder if anyone is around yet. We were assigned to maintenance for a float bridge on the Imyim river by Seoul.I don't think the river name is spelled right. I can't find it on map of SK. The first formation we had in country we were told the war was over. I don't know when but we were pulled off of that and we drove our bridge trucks as cargo vans. I drove truck until we left for home.

Specifically looking for 1stSgt Azapardi,(Azipardi?) Cpl Fred Freitti, (Ready Freddy), N. Burgeses, and (then) 1stLt Parker, CO.

I was discharged from the 58th Treadway Bridge Company at Fort Knox, July 1949, and then ran across them again at the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea Nov-Dec 1950. I was with the 1st Marine Regiment at that time.

Comments: I was up on the Han Tan river when the first cav left for japan. We pulled out and went to Uijobu in August-Sept. I spent 9 months with the outfit and went home in May of '52. Most of our time was spent on the Imjim river with the first marine division. I went over a heavy truck driver and ended up being a motor boat operator. all rank was frozen at that time and I left Korea as a corporal. The happiest time was leaving and I spent 2 weeks in Sasebo, Japan before I went home.
