Comments: My father served in Korea in 1950-53. He came back to the United States. He was from Brockton, MA. Later he died of Testicular Cancer on June 10, 1961. I was born on January 4th, 1962. I don't know what unit he was in. I'm looking for any information from anyone about his service. Thank you.

Comments: Served from 1966 to 1968 in RR&C Platoon. I remember Gearhart, Ridenour, Kipp (died 11/2013, called Kipp 15 years ago; he had started a Blackfoot native language immersion school near Cut Bank, Montana. Sure wish I'd have visited him before his death.

I remember swimming at the reservoir, drinks in the village and the rest of the life in town...and those field problems at 20 below zero in January.

Comments: Fellow Alumni:               10/20/2009

I will be sending a News Letter in Jan. or Feb., about the 2010 Reunion.
The tentative dates will be between June 2 and 19, 2010.
Put these dates aside.
Ft. Lewis, WA/ Seattle-Tacoma area.
I see all these flags in people's yards.
They say we support our troops, but do they really support the physically.
The way I see it is if you want to show support, go visit with the troop.
Tell them in person that you support them.
The easiest way to show your support is the make plans to attend our
2010 Reunion at Ft. Lewis, WA.
You will not only get the chance to meet with the troops and officers,
but to talk with them and break bread with them.
We will meet with each company and have the chance to tell them your experiences and hear theirs.
Last year many of the Alumni brought pictures and tools that they used during their service.
All the details will be mailed to you in Jan.or Feb. 2010.

And remember if you can reads this, thank a teacher.
If you are reading it in English, thank a soldier.
Semper Constans,
Tommy Thompson

My father served during this period, however, until having a stroke in 1987, he had never spoken about it. Blocked it out of memory. The stroke seemed to reactivate memories. We are trying to find out how much of what he has remembered is accurate. Any information about this unit would be appreciated.
