Looking for ship's office friends

Comments: I served on the Fort Marion for about 18 months, long enough to complete one far east tour. I was a personnelman (yeoman) in the ship's office and served as captain's phone talker most of the tour (until he threw me off the Conn; that's another story.

Keywords: We mostly knew each other by last names. I'm looking for shipmates Olds, Gunnel, Aaron, Goddard, Howard. I talked with Bob Hill a few years ago and connected recently with Vernon Gaylord (Radioman) who bunked above me.

Comments: I served in ship's office aboard Fort Marion, 53-54. Some of the guys I remember are Hill, Goddard, Aaron, Howard, Olds, Gunnell, Krone. Would like to know where some of you are if you still are.

Up-coming reunion of Ft. Marion has been announced for September 2007 in San Francisco. This started me thinking about the old days.

Looking for anyone who knew my dad

Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have been in bootcamp or served with my dad his service dates are May 1950-March 1954. I know he served on the USS Fort Marion and that he had Machinists Mate training and was also possibly a fireman and he always said he was a UDT but havent found evidence of that yet. I have pictures he took while in the Navy and one of him while he was in and one shortly after. Any help would be appreciated....Thank You.
