Comments:
i'm happy to know the organization exists. I was unable to locate
squadron member's names on the KIA/MIA list who went down in Korea
aboard AD-4N "Skyraiders" in 1953. At that time we were members of
VC-35 Squadron aboard the Yorktown. I would like to know the current
address of my pilot, Lt. Richard Arnicar, whom I last knew to live in
Coronado, CA. I Think your project is excellent. I will continue to
learn more, and I would hope to hear from former Shipmates.

postscript:
Since I gave you this information, I have located the "VC-35 Squadron
Association"; which was our Squadron. They have advised me that Lt. R.
J. Wickman was later located alive and well. However, PO2 (CA) Rulon H.
Woodvine (correct spelling) was killed in the crash in Korea.
Thanks for keeping abreast of this.

Looking through my dad's flight long book today, VC-35 is written in
at the top of pages dated June l951, May l952 (during his USS Boxer
deployment).
Found out common info on "Looking For-Korea" cmborris looking for
anyone from VC-35 Navy Night Attack Squadron "Skyraider".
Haven't heard from Charles Borris yet, but I feel he would have known
dad. This info is so similar.
In my dad's flight long book I found VC-35 written at the top of a

I have always wondered what became of my fellow combat air crewmen
from VC-35 Det "E" thet flew in AD-5Ns from the USS Oriskany (CVA-34)
from Jan to Sep 55. Especially Jack Shrode, Bill Pauley, Willie Williams,
Malcom "Honeypot" Hewitt, and Harry McGuinnes.

I haven't found anything yet ref: VF 194. I was in this "Fightron" from
1950 till 1954. We were reassigned from CAG 19 to a new type of air
group called Air Task Group One. ATG -1 consisted of VF 0194, (AD 3's
& 4's), VF-52,(F9F's), VF- 111(F9F's), & VF 653,(F4U Corsairs).
I believe that VC 35 made up the Gators, Guppys, Peter Peters, etc.
Navy Carrier Squadrons in the Korean War were home-based at various
Naval Air Stations, and were assigned to available Carriers for 2-week
"Carrier Quals" (training),and also for overseas duty. In our case, we
spent a few weeks operating out of Pearl for additional training
before continuing on to Korean waters.
