I am an adoptee looking for pieces of my family. I have recently
discovered that my father's brother served aboard the Oriskany in 1954.

My Uncle's last name was Young, my mother said she thought his first
name started with an O. After he got out of the Navy he changed his
name to Dave Gardner and became a nightclub comedian.

Could you provide me with any information about this man? Any little
thing would mean alot to me. He also might have been recognizable by
his southern drawl , he was from Kentucky.

I thank you for your time

Note: from KWP, Dave Gardner was known as "Brother Dave Gardner", a
well-known nightclub and recording artist, died in Dallas, Texas.

I am looking for others who served during my time on the USS
Oriskany, CVA 34, during the years 1951-1955.

One person in particular is John P. Muldoon, EM2, last known

Any and all information is welcomed and appreciated.
