Comments: Did AF personnel, such as cooks, serve with Army units in the field during this period of the conflict? My father at one time told me that he had been on Hamburger hill twice and that he had caught fish in the Chosin reservoir to feed his troops. I kinda blew him off and thought that he was maybe exaggerating a little. But he stood firm with his comments. So I ws just wondering. He also told us about flying in a C119 flying boxcar when the engines went out and they were sitting on the tail ramp about to jump when they finally got them turning again.
