City and State: KANSAS CITY MO

Unit: 581ST REPRO

Service or Relationship: Air Force Veteran

Comments: Learned after declassification 50 yrs later the 581st
was organized and directed by the CIA. My flt of
volunteers was the 2nd unit to go to Korea and Omiya.
Repro was the largest sqdn on Clark, but the tightest.
You might not know the guy in the other hut, but he'd
be by your side in a second. They didn't tell us, but
we printed leaflets in support of the French in Vietnam
after Eisenhower came in. Great people, great
experience. Bless them all.......

Keywords: Many friends, able to contact only a few.

Comments: While going through my father's things after his death, I
found several editions of The Whatzit? newspaper from the
early 1950's while he was the editor. Before throwing
them away, I wanted to see if anyone was interested in
seeing \ receiving them. Today is August 7, 2010. I
will have to dispose of them in the next couple of
months. If interested, please email m Thank you to all the veterans of
risk(ed) your lives for the freedom of me and my family.

Respectfully,
Eric Botting
