Comments: My father, Corporal Harold J. Addington of Big Laurel, Virginia, was captured on Nov 30th,1950, wearing summer uniforms. He and many others were marched over mountains in below freezing temperatures. He was at the Mining Camp from Dec 25th, 1950 until Feb 1951. He was then sent to Pyoktong, Camp 5 until Aug 1951, the sent to Chungsong, Camp 3 from Oct. 1951 until July 1953. He was released in Kaesong on Aug 29th, 1953. He was labeled a reactionary, tortured and imprisoned. If not for the men who were with him, he would not have survived. I want to thank anyone who helped and suffered along with my father who recently passed away at the age of 89, on May 12th, 2019. If anyone has any memories of my father I would love to hear from you. He will always be my hero and my Daddy.

Comments: Please find the remains of PFC Matthew Dickinson. He died in a POW camp 3. Donna Dickinson his widow is an extraordinary person. She is about 89 years old. She was the secretary at Palestine High for decades and loved by the students. As I said above she never remarried. She told me she always kept a poodle because she never had the chance to have children. Donna lives in assisted living in Robinson. What a gift we could give her by returning Matt to her before she passes away. She is the most dedicated widow I have ever know. PFC Dickinson has a niece living near Palestine, IL. She is Tamara (Tammy) Dickinson Kent. Her husband is Forrest (Frosty) Kent. DNA could be compared to hers. Her is the information on PFC Dickinson.

Comments: I am looking for anyone that was in Camp 3 near Chang-Song, North Korea who may have know Amos Leonard (June) Scott. He was in the 21st Infantry Regiment D Co. 1 BN Army
He died while captured. He was born July 15, 1929 in Rose Hill, Virginia where he enlisted. The location or battle zone: Task Force Smith - OSAN.

June's father and my father were brothers. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in South Korea on July 5, 1950, forced to march to North Korea on the TIGER DEATH MARDH and died as a prisoner at Camp 3 near Chang-Song, North Korea on January 4, 1952. He was known as June to his friends. I know that on the day he was captured another young soldier was taken with him. The last information that I received was that the solider was still alive but did not want to talk about the war. I am looking to find this soldier or any solider that knew June while he was captured. Any help that you may be able to give me would be so great appreciated.

Comments: I am getting a book together based on the letters my father-in-law wrote from POW Camp #3 to his family back home in Texas. He is now deceased and did not speak much of his captivity when he was with us. He was held for 3 years - he was captured on November 30, 1950. He mentions one buddy he had in camp by the name of Stephen Rada from Pennsyvania - I believe my Father in law made a connection with this young man because he was a "Slovak" which Bohus felt was very close to being of Czech decent like himself. If anyone has any information regarding Camp #3 or the march with took the prisoners to that camp I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Connie

Comments: My uncle was a POW in Camp 3, Ch'ang-Song. Our family is looking for any information. He died in 1998 never talking about his experiences there. If anyone knows of him or can tell us any information about their own experiences, it may help us to understand why he never discussed this part of his life.

Many thanks to all military everywhere; here, there, and beyond.
