Comments: My grandfather, Louis Tofstopal, served on the 1570th Engineer Heavy Equipment Shop Company and was in the Philippines from around March 1944 - December 1945. I'm looking for anyone that might have served with him and am looking for information about the name of the boat that he served on. I'm trying to piece together a story he told us about an undetonated bomb that landed on the ship. Thanks.
