He sometimes went by his nicknames of Willie or Lucky. All I know of the unit he was part of is as followes: First Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force, F.M.F., 1st Marine Regiment, 3rd Battallion, Anti Tank & Assault Co., Attached to I Company. One the majore battles he talks about most often is the Battle of Bunker Hill, or Hill 800 as it is known for it's location. Another battle he talks about is one called the Battle of the Hook. He has some stories from the War that I think He should have published and maybe if some of His friends from Korea would get in touch with him, he would have them published. He can be reached through me through my e-mail address or mailing address as follows: P.O. Box 953 Hobbs N.M. 88240. If you or any one you might know has any information about his unit, please get in touch with me. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP. Sincerly, Steve Alves
