Unkown unit - Korea
Please do a search for Jack Hitchcock.
Jack Hitckcock would have served in Korea. I don't know if he was
a casualty or not. I am trying to get any information I can.
The only information I have is that he was in Japan in the late '40s and
left about Nov. of 1951 and that he was a corporal. I was making the
assumption that he had been sent to Korea.
Thanks for all your help.

New York City Korean Era Vet
I am trying to locate a man named Dennis Patrick Mulcahy.
Mr. Mulcahy was raised in Brooklyn, New York and I believe
he attended Catholic schools there. He sometimes went by
the nickname "Danny."
When I last heard from Mr. Mulcahy (April, 1949) he was a
Corporal in the U.S. Army stationed in Nuremberg, Germany.
His service number was RA 18 295 313. At that time he was
tall (approximately 6'), thin and had dark slightly wavy
hair and blue (?) eyes.
If alive, Mr. Mulcahy's current age is about 68. This is
all the information I have on Mr. Mulcahy.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
Sincerely,
Dan Hayner

US Army unit unkown
On behalf of my father, I am trying to locate a couple of guys that he
served with during the Korean War. With the dedication of the memorial
later this month, I thought there may be a lot of activity on bulletin
board and such.
The names of these soldiers are: Walter Saffron from Iron Mtn., Mich
and Bob Morris from Chicago, Ill.
Together with my father, Frank O'Connor, Bob Morris was inducted at Ft.
Sheridan, Ill. in 1950. They travelled to Ft Sill, Ok. forward observer
school and later to Osaka, Japan, arriving in Korea 1951.
Discharged at Camp Atterbury, In. in 1952 my father has not seen either
since and would like to contact them if still living.

Norfleet ?
I read an article in the 7/23 Chicago Tribune about your Web page. I
am writing to find out how I can get information about my natural
father who supposedly was KIA in Korea. I am adopted but I found
inusurance forms that identified my natural father, Robert Dean
Norfleet, was killed in action. As I was born on 10/23/51, this would
have meant that he was killed between 2/51 and 10/51. I would like to
find out if this is true. Also, if it is, what other information is
available? What resources are available for me to search?

I have a great-uncle of whom I know nothing except that he died in Korea.
His name is Kenneth Harvey Ray. In what way would I find information.
I'm ashamed I don't even know his branch of service.

I just found this web site and thought I'd try to further my
geneological research here. I am trying to learn about a
Major Angela Jackson, who I learned was KIA in Korea sometime
in 1952. I believe she was in the Army. Thank you for any
help in trying to learn about a relative whose existence I
just found out about.
Yours, Christine Rodrigue

Pork Chop Hill
I am in search of hard data on the fate of Larry Laravey, who used to
live next door to me in Hackensack, New Jersey. I have heard that he
died in Korea, and more particularly, that he died on Pork Chop Hill.
I can't vouch for the truth of the rumors I've heard, but I'd like to
learn what happened to him. He lived on Park Street in Hackensack, had
3 sisters and a younger brother Johnny. He was Catholic. I can't
remember his parents' names. Thank you for any information you can
provide. Please email.

I had sent you information on my uncle, Jack "Bo" Bohannon, who served
in the Korean War Project as well as WWII. He was in the U.S. Army
from approximately 1945-1970.
While I do not know the unit he served in, I do know that he is seen in
several photos on tanks. I have searching for anyone who may remember
serving with him
Thank you for having this site.
