Capt Knight, Jack A. AO 671563, 319th Ftr Intcp Sq, APO 970 is asgd duty
as "F" Flight Commander, Vice Capt. Fithian Ben L. AO 780912

The number on his plane was FA 409. He is buried in Arlington Cemetary.

My father was killed in Korea on July 8,1953. His name was Jack A.Knight
and he was a pilot in the Air Force. His service number is AO 671 563.

This is all I know other than the fact I cannot find any information out
about him. I have a letter dated June 10,1958 from the Department of the
Air Force, Air Force Records Center in St. Louis Missouri. The letter is
the official statement of the military service and death record. It is
signed by a A.J.Petroski.

It states that he died on july 8,1953 in Korea, as the result of an
aircraft accident. Death occurred in the line of duty an was not a
result of his own misconduct. " I am very curious as to why I can't find
him listed anywhere and why my mother was in possession of this letter
dated 5 yrs. after his death......can anyone feed me any information
that may be helpful?
