I am writing this letter on behalf of my Dad, who is a former Air
Force Staff Sergeant. He was stationed in Dogpatch Korea from 1950 -
1953. He has asked me to look up a couple of his old pals through the
internet. I came across your web site and wondered if you might be
able to make any suggestions on possible ways to track down former Air
Force members?

Dad's name is Louis G. Nolin Jr. One of the gentlemen he is looking
for is Daniel Smith, formerly or Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He served in
the 18th Maintenance Division with my father in Dogpatch, Korea. The
other person is James Speaks, formerly from somewhere in South Dakota
(Dad couldn't remember what town), he served in Waco, Texas with Dad
in 1953. If it wouldn't be too much of an imposition, I would be truly
grateful for any advice you may be able to offer me in my search to
reunite some old friends. Thank you in advance for your time.

He was part of a group of soldiers who built things. They had an
enormous carpentry workshop with lathes, saws and all sorts of other
tools. They built everything from bunks to lamps to shelving
to barracks, and whatever else that was needed to be built out of wood.

With sincerest regards,
