Looking for anyone who flew with my BROTHER:

1st Lt. Adrian L. Christenson, 16th Fighter Inteceptor Squadron,
51st Fighter Interceptor Group.

His F-80 was shot down on 13 May 1951 on an armed reconnaissance
mission one mile northwest of Tolcotchi, North Korea. We have received
several reports that he was seen outside his plane after it crash
landed; one report that he waved back to other pilots flying over the
crash site.

His nickname was "Spud" and I think he may have gone by "Chris" in the
Air Force. He was declared KIA by the government 2 JAN 1954.

We would like to contact any of the pilots who flew with him on the
mission when he went down.

Was on Okinawa Nov 48 to Aug. 49. Went to Itazuke and then to Kimpo,
strategically withdrew to Tsuiki. Went back to Suwon, finished my tour
and shipped back to McGuire

I left Okinawa with the 16th & 25th squadrons which were a part of
the 51st Fighter Wing. We left the 26th behind and were assigned to the
Fifth Air Force in Korea.

Looking for any 51st people.

Senator Carl Levin's office is looking into helping my aunt and I with
a DD Form 180 request toward the end of obtaining a grave marker
for my late uncle, Frank L. Van Sickle, # 0821568, USAF MIA in
November 1950 along the Yalu River.

His F-80 was shot down my hostile AA fire. He was talking on the radio
to his flightmates who had to return to Okinawa and could not remain
on the scene. Whether he crashed or was captured is unknown. No
parachuted was seen.

I have his posthumous DFC in possession. I don't have any information
on his unit in Korea.

I am the only daughter of Major Thomas Ellis Myers, (Tommy) from the
51st. I had contacted a few people who flew with him in Korea and would
like to hear from anyone who knew him during the Korean War years.

His F 80 was shot down on Oct. 2, 1950. He was MIA when I was an
infant.

Thanks so much. Anything would be received with gratitude.

Writing Book

I flew F-86's with the 16th Sq, of the 51st Group from December of 1951
until October of 1952. I was both a flight commander in the 16th Sq.
and then Deputy Wing Operations Officer.

I kept a detailed diary of my days in Korea and I am in the process of
writing a book on the F-86 portion of the 51st Wing's war in Korea.

I have a host of pictures taken during those days, as well as other
ancillary information. But, I am always on the lookout for any more
material that will help me "flesh-out" my book. If you, or any of your
internet associates have anything that would help, I would be greatful
to hear from you--or them.

Thanks
