This ATG eventually became CAG 14. when the feather merchants went home.
i reported to VF-791 at N.A.S. San Diego after their korean cruise they
had F4U's. went to F9F-2's, then 5's, i went to VF-51 when cag 14 made a
med cruise on the Randolph, iwent to wes-pac on Philippine sea.we move
to miramar with the jets in early'52, no hangars, old barracks, state
hwy ran through the middle things changed.

one thing i forgot to tell you that is interesting vf-54 (cag-5) flew
ad's in korea, i don't know how many years they had ad's.

i had a choice of vf-54 or vf-791 when i graduated ao school, took 791
with corsairs, little easier on your back than ad's.
