and embarked staffs to join the USS TOLEDO (CA-133/SSN-769)ASSOCIATION,
established in 1987, consisting of 270 plus former crew members of USS
TOLEDO CA-133, and enjoying great reunions every two years.
Our next reunion to be in Laughlin, Nevada, October, 1998.

heading USS TOLEDO CA-133. How do I address this Shipmate to answer
his query.
I do not have any information regarding Gordon Liptak, but can
certainly tell him about the USS TOLEDO CA-133, having served on
her for seven years (1949-56).

Exec. and Capt.orderly. Great cruise. Was very dissapointed to
hear that the ship was scrapped. I'd like to hear from anyone
that was along. Went to the 7th Marines,HQ Company for the last
6 months of enlistment. My son was also in the 7th and went to
Iraq for Desert Storm.

Here is all I know about him so far (that is relevant). His name is
Carol. He served aboard the Toledo during the "Korean incident"
He lives in the western portion of North Carolina. He said he was
aboard it when it was struck by three torpedoes at once.
He also said he had a gun shot-out from underneath him.
